Photographer Takashi Homma has been photographing Tokyo for over a decade. Like another Ed Ruscha in Los Angeles.
He photographs the suburbs, the city center, modern teenagers and children, his dog, his daughter. It manages and balances between clinical recording and emotion. His look is modern and clean, as are his photos.
Homma’s Tokyo is not complicated and chaotic, ready to explode, like Moriyama’s. It is neat, bright and new.
